I am... One who will NEVER be abandoned. "Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.  And be sure of this:  I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20

I am ... United with Christ, "one spirit" with Christ. But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him. 1 Corinthians 6:17

I am.... Christ's dear friend. I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn't confide in his slaves.  Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.  John 15:15

Who? When I look across the road on those cold wintry days, I see beautiful white frosted trees.  It makes me wonder, who in this world could make something so wonderful but You? I see amazing waterfalls, amazing people and amazing things everyday.  But who could be more amazing than You? Family says, "I love you so much that you could never find the end of it".  But whose love is deeper and more unconditional than Yours? Who could stand against Your amazing power and love?  The answer is no one.  No one could be more awesome, powerful, and breathtaking than You. You are the One and Only Lord God Almighty- my Saviour, Whom I love deeply!! Abby Murphy

I am..... The beautiful bride of Christ who "ravishes" the heart of God. You are beautiful, my darling, like the lovely city of Tirzah. Yes, as beautiful as Jerusalem, as majestic as an army with billowing banners.  Song of Solomon 6:4ff You are beautiful, my darling, beautiful beyond words.  Song of Solomon 4:1ff

I am... Declared righteous, holy and blameless. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.  Ephesians 1:4* Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1 *Scripture is taken from the New Living Translation.

I am.... God's beloved child. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.  Ephesians 1:5

40 Days of Identity

Last year I observed Lent by being thankful.  Has it really been a year already?  This time around I've decided to embrace each day by thinking about identity.  What does the Bible say about someone who lives a life surrendered to Christ, as one who lives in the Truth of the great love of God?  Honestly, I've been struggling with these things.  Maybe a better word is "forgetting".  Interesting how busyness can throw us off, make us lose focus of the important things leaving us unfulfilled.  I'm at my breaking point.  Walking through life as someone in darkness when the Truth has already been revealed.  More honesty .  I've spent more time in front of the television and my ipod than I have in my field.  The truth of who I am gets lost in the silly and idle things I put my hands to and fritter away my time with.  Turning my quiet into another reason to waste precious moments.  I am suffering by my own hand and am the worse for it.  I'

I am the product of love. Molded by the hands of countless women. Raised by a village of mothers. Loved, taught, scolded, embraced, and influenced by them.  Ones who stopped.   Who bothered to give their time and space. Shaping me into who I am today. Standing in as replacements. Inviting me into their lives. Building on what was begun by my mother. Leaving their imprint on my life.  Inspiring me to be a mother to children other than my own. HE does repay the years that were lost. "I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten-" Joel 2:25
